Book I opens (§13-28) with the frame dialogue where Torquatus and Cicero set up the debate and agree Torquatus will speak uninterrupted; from §29 on it is Torquatus's own continuous exposition of Epicurean ethics. Book II is Cicero's reply -- mostly a long, uninterrupted critique in which Torquatus says little. The paragraphs highlighted in amber mark the spots where Torquatus (or Triarius) actually gets a line in.
